What would happen if everyone told the truth?

Solving problems with correct data is essential to our development as a society and as individuals. I also feel that solving problems despite incorrect data create essential problem solving skills but if one never had to expend energy learning to identify incorrect information could the ability to create a valid solution reach a plateau?

They have led to the discovery of new challenges, unpleasant as well as pleasant realizations and some good entertainment.
